Maurizio Di Meo began his artistic journey in Rome at Teatro Blu, studying under Beatrice Bracco, mentor to many of Italy’s most celebrated performers. Alongside his acting training, he worked with master dubbing director Mario Maldesi, collaborator of Visconti, Kubrick, and Fellini, developing a strong ear for rhythm, language, and text.

Seeking broader horizons, Maurizio moved to the United States, continuing his training between Los Angeles and New York. At the Stella Adler Academy of Acting, he deepened his work on imagination, character, and circumstance. In New York, he trained directly under William Esper at the Esper Studio, one of the country’s most respected Meisner programs. Further work under Terry Schreiber, at the Terry Schreiber Studio and under Oscar-winning producer and acting teacher Milton Justice refined his commitment to truthful, moment-to-moment behavior.

Now based in Italy, Maurizio works across stage and screen. In 2024, he played one of the leading roles in Bernard-Marie Koltès’s Roberto Zucco, directed by acclaimed actor Francesco Montanari — a collaboration that highlighted his physical intensity, emotional precision, and psychological nuance.

As a director and educator, Maurizio recently developed a workshop-based production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, blending Adler-style textual analysis with Meisner-based spontaneity to guide actors toward immediate, truthful, and deeply human performances.

Driven by a lasting curiosity for human stories, Maurizio brings discipline, cultural fluency, and a cinematic eye to every project. Fluent in English and Italian, he moves naturally between set and stage, performance and direction. Producers value his calm leadership; audiences remember the truth he puts onstage.
